Santa Call for Kids in Mexico: How It Works in 2026
Want Santa to call a child in Mexico? See how personalized Santa calls work in 2026, how to enter a Mexican number and schedule the surprise.
The experience is designed to feel like a normal incoming phone call. You create a personalized Santa message, choose the Mexican number that should receive it and schedule when the call will arrive.
The standard call is not a live actor speaking in real time. Santa's message is prerecorded, but PNP personalizes it using the information selected during setup and delivers it through a real telephone call.
How to make Santa call a child in Mexico
Create a Portable North Pole account
Open PNP on the web or in its app and sign in. Personalized calls are saved in the My Creations area.
Choose a Santa Call
Pick one of the available call scenarios and select the option to personalize it for the recipient.
Add the child's details
Enter the information requested by that particular call, such as the recipient's name and other supported details.
Preview the message
Listen before scheduling it so you can check that the personalization sounds right.
Select Mexico and enter the phone number
Choose Mexico as the destination and carefully enter the 10-digit Mexican number.
Choose the date and time
Schedule the call for a moment when the child will be near the phone and an adult can help if needed.
How should you enter a Mexican phone number?
Mexico simplified its national numbering several years ago. The current international format is:
The old extra 1 previously used before Mexican mobile numbers is no longer part of the official dialing format.
Mexico's telecommunications regulator states that calls from abroad now use +52 followed directly by the 10-digit national number, whether the destination is a mobile or fixed line.
The old prefixes 01, 044 and 045 were also eliminated from Mexican dialing.
What happens when the phone rings?
When PNP places the scheduled call, the recipient answers the phone and hears Santa's voice.
PNP says the person receiving the call is prompted to press 1 before the personalized message plays.
For a younger child, it is useful to have an adult nearby. The adult can answer the phone or help press the key without explaining beforehand exactly what the surprise will be.
What if the child misses the call?
PNP currently provides up to three attempts to complete the call.
An attempt can be used if nobody answers or if voicemail answers but the required key is not pressed. Once the personalized message connects successfully, the call is considered completed.
Can you schedule the exact time?
Yes. PNP lets you select both the date and time when scheduling the call.
PNP notes that the scheduling screen uses the local time of the person creating the call. If you are setting it up while you are physically in Mexico, that is simple.
If a family member outside Mexico is arranging the surprise, they should account for the time difference before confirming the schedule.
Does it work anywhere in Mexico?
PNP lists Mexico as a supported destination with country code +52, but telephone delivery can still depend on the specific number, carrier and routing.
This matters because an international calling platform is not the same thing as making a normal domestic call from one Mexican phone to another.
If a valid number cannot be scheduled, double-check all 10 digits first. If the format is correct and the service still rejects it, contact PNP rather than repeatedly changing the phone number.
Is the Santa call free?
Not necessarily.
Portable North Pole offers a combination of individual experiences, passes and seasonal promotions. The availability of a complimentary call or the price of a paid experience can change during the Christmas season.
For that reason, the amount displayed in your PNP account when you create the call is more reliable than a price copied from an older Christmas guide.
What about Coca-Cola Santa calls in Mexico?
Coca-Cola has a long history of Christmas campaigns in Mexico, so searches for Santa calls often surface older promotions.
However, a previous holiday campaign should not be treated as a permanent telephone service.
Coca-Cola Mexico's official Christmas campaign for 2025 focused on its holiday advertising, Christmas caravans and digital experiences such as personalized wrapping paper. It did not establish a permanent Santa telephone-call service.
As of September 2026, we have not found an official Coca-Cola Mexico announcement confirming a Santa phone-call campaign for Christmas 2026.
Phone call or interactive Santa conversation?
Santa Call
Best when you want the phone itself to ring. The recipient hears a personalized prerecorded message from Santa.
Talk to Santa
PNP also offers a separate interactive experience where the child can speak and receive responses during a back-and-forth conversation.
If your goal is simply to surprise a child with an incoming telephone call in Mexico, the standard Santa Call is the more direct option.
How to make the surprise feel natural
You do not need an elaborate setup.
Keep the phone somewhere the child will hear it, make sure unknown or international calls are not being automatically silenced and have an adult nearby.
If the child asks why Santa knows their name, that is usually enough to make the personalized message feel special. There is no need to provide unnecessary private information just to make the call more believable.
A name and one or two harmless details supported by the call scenario are generally enough.
